Update!

Here is a little update about each of us...

Julianna has met a friend and it is nice that she has someone to hang out with!!! She was really missing her friends in KY and now I think she is finally happy here, even though she does still miss Nikara!

Kaiden won an art award at school and his art is on display downtown at a gallery, that was very exciting for him, we are going to go view it tonight for FHE!!!

Evelyn misses Ashleigh and is currently making her a Christmas present, she is also determined to know how to read! She practices with Keith every day and asks me how she is doing!

Keith is just as wild as ever! He loves his little brother and is a helper most of the time, the other day he got Koen out of the crib he was carrying him the right way but Koen didn't like it so he screamed louder!!!

Koen is two months old and already I feel like time is flying by! He is a very cute and mild mannered baby, he started to smile for real last week and he has the cutest smile!!! I will try to get some pictures up soon.

Kevin had one girl from his cross country team make it to state and so that was what he did last weekend. The girl is a sophomore and she place 50 something out of 160 so she was in the top 1/3rd and that is good!

I have started a sewing day and scrapbooking day so that I can get some of my projects done! I also opened an online store!! www.inkable.etsy.com check it out sometime and let me know what you think!

We are all very busy and looking forward to the Holidays!!

Koen Spencer is Here!!

We arrived at the hospital yesterday Sept. 7th at about 8am and they had me all hooked up to IVs and ready for pitocin by 10am! Kevin set up our traditional game of Monopoly and then proceeded to beat me not once but twice! We even tried to cheat a little so that I could win but I just have terrible luck when it come to that game and Kevin is charmed! Well things were going well I was at about a 3.5 around noon Kevin went to get something to eat and the Nurse her name was Sharon asked the Dr. to break my water, so at about 2pm they broke my water and things really picked up after that! At about 3pm I was between 6-7 and by 4pm I was pushing! He was face up so they had to turn him (that was fun!) but he was arrived by 4:11pm! He weighed in at 7lbs 1oz and 20 1/2 inches long.

So far he is a really good baby the nurses in the nursery say that he is one of the calmest babies they have ever seen! Hopefully he keeps this up, most of our babies have been pretty calm with very little crying except when they are hungry so I was glad to hear that Koen fits that mold. He looks the most like Julianna and Kaiden did, his hair is brown but not dark and there is just a tinge of red, so it will be interesting to see what developes. Julianna and Kaiden came by to visit and they are very excited, they both enjoyed holding and loving on him. They like to hear the comparisons between themselves and Koen. I remember when I was a kid I like to hear my mom tell us about our births and what we were like as babies! Keith and Evelyn are with Adam and Marie until tonight so they haven't gotten to see him yet but I imagine that they will be just as excited as the older ones were.

We get to come home today so I am glad for that I always get more rest and feel more relaxed in my own home! I also feel better when I have my kids with me even though it is noisier! I will put up more pics and updates later this week! Kaiden turns 7 on the 12th and he was very excited that Koen was born before his birthday so that we could have the kids ages at 0,2,4,6,& 8!

More Pictures!

We got caught in a rain storm which is why we are all wet! We hiked to the top of this small mesa and there were pictographs all over it, the kids loved it! Keith was so funny all the way up he kept saying things like "this is dangerous" and "be careful or you will fall" and then we got to the top and he was running around and getting way to close to the edge! I told him to be careful or he would fall and he said "no I won't" then on the way down he was all caution again! We had a great time in New Mexico, and Kevin enjoyed his week of training!

Family Trips!

We went on many family trips this year the first was to Kentucky to visit our old house and see some Friends! These are not pictures from that trip but they were cute so I put them in. While in KY we cleaned out the house and put it on the market! I spent a lot of days down at Scrap Paper Scizzors making pages! Melissa and I had a great time! The kids loved seeing all their old friends and were sad to miss seeing some of them. Julianna asks to move back all the time she really misses Nikara! We miss KY but we love MO so who knows what the future holds! These photos were taken in New Mexico at the Petroglyph National Monument.

The Parkway 5k Run!

Kaiden ran the parkway run this year! He ran it a couple of years ago and finished around 5o minutes, this time he finished in 31:17 he came in 4th place in the 10 and under age group! He was very excited, and worked really hard. Kevin told me I needed to plan on being at the finish line at about 8:30-8:45 he thought Kaiden would finish in about 40 or 45 minutes and I had my kids and some cousins so I wanted to get there to see him finish but not to early! Well we were about a block away when we saw Kaiden cross, Kevin said "well he just kept running and never got tired and slowed down!" I was sad to miss him crossing the finish line but it was awesome that he did so well!! He gets a really red face everywhere except right on his cheeks so he looks really tired, I asked him if it was hard and he just nodded his head, so I ask if it was fun and he said "ya" then I asked if he wanted to do it again and he said "well not right now but next time they do a race I want to run"!! So I think we can safely say that Kaiden takes after his father! Next time I will go straight to the finish and wait however long it takes, and I will never underestimate Kaiden competitive drive again!
